The Golden Globe Awards have announced that Olivia Colman is a 2023 Best Actress for a Motion Picture Drama nominee for her powerful performance in Sam Mendes' Empire of Light. 

Olivia has been acknowledged and praised for her portrayal of Hilary Small, a Duty Manager at a seaside cinema in Kent who suffers from Bipolar Disorder. 

Only films and tv shows that were released in 2022 are eligible for the awards which will take place on January the 8th 2023 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, making this the 80th Golden Globes Show.
