Hamnet

Academy Award winner, Chloé Zhao, has written and directed Hamnet, based on Maggie O'Farrell's bestselling and multi-award winning novel of the same name.

Jessie Buckley (Women Talking, Frankenstein) and Paul Mescal (Gladiator II, All of us Strangers) will star in the film alongside Emily Watson (The Theory of Everything) and Joe Alwyn (The Favourite).

Hamnet reveals the profound and enduring love between Agnes (Jessie Buckley) and William Shakespeare (Paul Mescal), and how the death of their beloved son inspired the creation of the play Hamlet.

Hamnet is a co-production with Hera Pictures for Focus Features and Amblin Partners.
